Work as a Care Assistant will be determined based on who you’re supporting. Typical Care Assistant duties include:
- Helping people with daily tasks like washing & dressing and providing personal care
- Assistance when taking medication, feeding, following care plans
- Working with other care professionals to implement any requirements for the resident
- assisting with running leisure activities, doctors appointments at clients request sometimes outside of the home

- BTEC, Diploma, Care Certificate or NVQ
- All roles within a care environment you will need to provide 5 years of referencing
Formal qualifications won’t be the only requirement. You will also need to show the following:
- 6 months of working within the UK
- Valid DBS on the update Service or willingness to obtain one
- Knowledge of safeguarding
